New five-star hotel planned in Klosters
In Klosters-Serneus (Grisons), the public participation process for the five-star hotel project "La Montana" has been launched. More than 100 rooms are planned, with an investment of around CHF 90 million.
On July 22, 2016, the municipality of Klosters-Serneus started the 30-day participation procedure and presented the plans for the partial revision of the Montana local planning to the public for inspection. In addition to the five-star luxury hotel, the project developer Immoville AG wants to build restaurants, lounges, congress and banquet halls, as well as fitness, wellness and spa facilities on the Montana site.
A total of five buildings are planned, which will blend in with the townscape. In addition, there will be a crèche and a two-story underground parking garage with around 300 parking spaces, some of them public. The municipality is responsible for 230 of these parking spaces. The planned center development will also include retail space for businesses and service providers. One of the planned tenants will be the post office.
The special building regulations necessary for the project require an amendment to the zoning plan. The building project is therefore expected to go before the electorate at the end of the year or at the beginning of 2017. Initial designs were provided by the Zurich-based firm Dietrich Schwarz Architekten AG. Project developer Immoville AG anticipates a construction period of two years. (mr)
