What exactly is Smart.Invoice and what problem does it address?

René Gertsch: Smart.Invoice is a new extension of GARAIO REM that automates the entire process of accounts payable invoice processing. Manual processing of these invoices is often time-consuming, error-prone and expensive. This leads to long processing times and costs companies money, for example if discounts are forgotten. With Smart.Invoice, we offer a solution that automatically records, checks and prepares invoices for posting. This not only saves time, but also significantly improves process quality.

What specific benefits does Smart.Invoice offer your customers?

Our customers benefit in several ways: the automation of recurring tasks significantly reduces the time required. Intelligent algorithms minimize sources of error, while seamless integration into GARAIO REM ensures maximum transparency. In addition, the solution is flexibly configurable and can be adapted to individual company approval processes.

How does Smart.Invoice differ from other solutions on the market?

The big difference lies in the seamless integration of GARAIO REM for the use of existing master data for improved accounting allocation and suitable suggestions for account assignment. We also rely on modern AI-based capturing technology, which constantly increases the level of automation. If required, invoices can be processed and released fully automatically - without any manual intervention.

When was the go-live of Smart.Invoice planned?

After an initial live demo at the customer conference, the "GARAIO REM User Forum", the pilot phase began in November 2024. Interested customers were able to test the service at an early stage and give us valuable feedback. The broad go-live then took place in June 2025.

What does the Smart.Invoice pricing model look like?

The pricing model is made up of three components: one-off implementation costs, recurring license and operating fees and volume-dependent processing costs. The volume-dependent costs are based on the number of invoices processed.

What long-term goals are you pursuing with Smart.Invoice?

Our aim is to continuously increase the level of automation and offer customers the most comprehensive, intelligent solution possible. In the long term, we want our customers to be able to eliminate even more manual processes in various areas so that they can concentrate on more strategically important tasks. Smart.Invoice is a decisive step towards making accounting processes as efficient as possible.
