Wie Swiss Prime Site als Eigent\u00fcmer des USEGO-Areals mitteilt, wurde\u00a0per Ende 2016 ein\u00a0langfristiger Mietvertrag mit Sensile Medical geschlossen. Das Unternehmen entwickelt und produziert Mikropumpen, die eine besonders pr\u00e4zise Dosierung und Verabreichung von fl\u00fcssigen Arzneimitteln erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n

\u00abBedingt durch die vielen Entwicklungsprojekte befinden wir uns in einer raschen Aufbauphase und ben\u00f6tigen f\u00fcr alle Abteilungen mehr Platz. Mit dem historischen Areal haben wir die perfekten R\u00e4umlichkeiten gefunden\u00bb, sagt Derek Brandt, CEO von Sensile Medical. Das Unternehmen mietet insgesamt 3.200 qm\u00a0B\u00fcro- und Laborfl\u00e4chen im ehemaligen Hauptsitz des Grossh\u00e4ndlers USEGO.<\/p>\n

Das heute stadtbildpr\u00e4gende und im Volksmund \u00abGewerbeschloss\u00bb genannte USEGO-Geb\u00e4ude wurde im Jahr 1923 von dem Architekten Fritz von Niederh\u00e4usern erstellt und diente dem Handelsunternehmen\u00a0w\u00e4hrend mehreren Jahrzehnten als Hauptsitz und Logistikzentrum. Die zentrale Lage erm\u00f6glichte es, schweizweit bis zu 4.000 L\u00e4den effizient mit Waren zu versorgen. Neben Verwaltung und Lager beherbergte es zudem eine Kaffeer\u00f6sterei und verschiedene Gew\u00fcrzm\u00fchlen.<\/p>\n

Die Swiss Prime Site hat das Areal Ende 2009 erworben und aufw\u00e4ndig revitalisiert. Es umfasst eine Grundst\u00fccksfl\u00e4che von rund 18.200 qm und bietet nach Angaben der Swiss Prime Site noch grosses Potenzial f\u00fcr eine Nachverdichtung und verschiedene Nutzungen.
